Question:
i have heard and read that a person that maintains their weight, without working out and dieting, that if they begin to workout they will those the weight easier and faster than most. in some ways this makes sense to me but i would like to know what everyone thinks or their experiences and knowledge on the subject. thanks

Answers:
It is probably true.
If you put on muscle, they consume energy even when not doing anything. Therefore, if you workout, your energy consumption will go up, resulting in loss of fat.

Other Answers:
Yeah that sounds like it would be right. I would assume that this works the same for dieting also, so if you are a constant weight and then you diet you will lose weight faster. I recently gave up alcohol, chocolate and soft drinks for a couple of months and I went from average 10 stone to 9 stone 3.
