That is strange because you are right when you get very depressed that is usually when you have dreams like that. I had a dream once that I was lying in a hospital bed and my arms were stretched out like Jesus was on the cross. The doctor was giving me a blood transfusion but the blood was in three colors red blue and green. I woke up and had this creepy feeling that I was supposed to find a flag with the colors red blue and green. So I went to school and found out only 2 flags in the world have all three of those colors and only one has only those three colors and that country was the Gambia in western Africa. I knew then I was supposed to go there and help the people. I was stretched out like Jesus in the dream because I was to be "a savior figure" to the African poor there by helping out in whatever way I can. I had forgot the dream until this year. I had applied for a summer internship with a labor right's group and found out that this summer I will be going to The Gambia to interview workers about their experiences and help compile a report to Congress on African aid. The point is that you should take these dreams seriously because when you are depressed sometimes your mind tries to redirect you toward the right path but often it is very subtle ways. This dream was very frightening too and I kept having it over and over. I was frightened because I was dying in the dream. I came to see this was me experiencing the pain people in this country feel everyday.
