Why does SODA (pepsi, coke) play a such important role in daily American life?

Question:
Do not tell me it tastes good. It's not an acceptable answer? Thanks

Answers:
They needed a non-alcoholic beverage to give the younger generation people something to drink when they socialize with each other.

Your assumption is flawed from the start. Soda does not play an important role in Daily American life.

It plays the lead.

American life revolves around Soda, not the otherway round. So we can say American Life plays an important role in the existence of Soda.

Why? because (to quote Seinfeld) people in commercials seem to go crazy of joy because of Soda. And Americans believe what they see. They try to get a share of that. They fail, and they do like the bottom of the cap says: Try again.

They try again and again.

(Eventually the Caffeine, legal psychotic agent and sugar, energy in its rawest form helps the sales. But they are only consequential.)

One one: No matter what you say, there will be people saying.

"cuz it tastes goood lol!"

Ignore them. They're mindbended by the Soda. They just have the enthusiasm due to the aforementioned agents but nothing else.
