If you ever quit smokeing. How did you do it, and how long ago?

Ditto to what the others have said. Cold Turkey, Determination, plenty of healthy snacks and lots of water. I quit in 1997, and I think about smoking at least once a week. Good Luck. Check out a few sites that explain the detriments of smoking. These can help.

August 10, 2004 10:11am cold turkey. 2 days later got hit by hurricane 1 of 3 and I still stayed non smoking.
The best way for me was cold turkey, with plenty of snacks to chew on. I drank a ton of water, chewed mints and gum like mad. The key is determination. If you're ready to quit and you loathe smoking you'll do it! Take it one hour at a time at first, then day by day and before you know it you've gone a month.
