If a HIV infected person bleeds into food prior to cooking, can I get AIDS?

Question:

Answers:
The HIV virus is not very robust and will certainly not survive the cooking process. It is only a risk to others when it is able to enter the body. This either means into the bloodstream or into an oriface. This usualy does not hapen in the kitchen. Unless injected, it is notoriously difficult to get into the bloodstream, as open wounds, where is could enter, tend to bleed and flush the virus out.

Other Answers:
Ugh! I don't want anyone to bleed into my food!

The blood has to go directly into your blood stream.

No the stomach acid would surely kill the virus.

No you can't, but that's really gross.

nah, the virus cannot live outside the human body. so once exposed, it dies. HIV virus is spread via sexual intercourse only.

i think so , but ask the dr. to give you a test and be more careful next time

Go and get tested any way. HIV is not the only disease you can get from blood. Hepatitis A, B & C is also contractable. Some poeple with HIV have these deseases aswell because thier immune system can't fight it. Go and get tested.

actually I was going over some of this answers, and thought I would comment. HIV is not just spread through intercourse!! It is spread through your body's secretions, most IV drug users don't have intercourse to get them high!! they share dirty needles and things of that sort!! there are other possible ways to spread HIV!! for more info you should google HIV and research.
