What can you do to get over a cold fast?


Question:
I start my new job on Monday, and I have to worst cold to date. What can I do to make myself feel just a little bit better?
I've already been eating Vitamin C like you wouldn't believe, and taking cold pills and Excedrin!
Please help, home remedies? I'd love to hear 'em!

Drink a lot of orange juice. They also have cold lozenges at the pharmacy that contain zinc, they are suppose to reduce the length and symptoms of a cold. Good luck. Also don't over due it on the vitamin C, it can upset your stomach.

you should sweat out the cold. rap up and sweat it out

get some zinc lozenges to suck on. walmart has them, they are called cold-eeze. also take a multi vitamin.

Eat soup and take your rest for as long as you can. Also get plenty of fluids. Good Luck!

Vitamin C doesn't work for me, it makes it worse as i feel it increases catarrh

Drink lot of hot water!!

Take cold FX. It relly works and is natural to boot.

there r so many indian remedies..one is simple just have a cup of hot ginger tea..second is rub some eucalyptus oil on ur nose n chest n back too before going to bed..that'll do the job!!n do some vicks or eucalyptus vapour inhaling(boil some water n add vicks or eucalyptus oil in it n then inhale the hot steam by covering ur head with a towel)..trust me it works.!!

Lots of vitamin c and zinc. Orange juice, or juices with C. Plenty of liquids. Sweat. Rest.

Get pure essential clove oil from a health food store and rub it on the lymph nodes on the sides of your neck(right behind your ears between your hairline & bottom of neck) and then rub it on the bottoms of your feet. Within 20 min. the chemical property's or whatever is good in an essential oil gets in ALL your bodys cells within 20 min. I get my oils from Young Living essential oils online.

Use as little decongestant (sudafed, etc.) as you can get away with. It reduces symptoms now, but there is a rebound effect so that it lengthens the time during which you are congested.
