I think so. And I'm saying this from experience. I mean some times my eyes hurt. And I might get a headache. And My stomach might be upset. But the Internet is just so damn addictive.

i think if you spend alot of time on the computer than u need to stretch and let some blood circulate. But i doubt u can get sick.

NO!

I know I do! When you stare at the screen to long it makes you feel dizzy when you look away. Especially if you are trying to read something!

You can get sick from too much of anything, so yes.

Society tends to look down on jobs like. picking vegetables, but really a job like that is one where you would be healthier over all: that much sun will help you have better Vitamin D, melatonin (so you'd sleep better), and some psychiatrists use bright lights to treat certain kinds of deppression.

So go outside for a few minutes a day.

Take a break every few hours from being on the computer to just stretch, drink some water.

A good relaxer for your eyes, is to cover them for as long as it takes for your eyes to completely adjust to the dark. Then just open your eyes back up, and they won't feel so strained by the computer.

I don't know whether there is any evidence that you can become "sick" by spending too much time on the computer however you might find that you are not getting the necessary physical exercise you need. I think it is all about balance.

I know from experience that prolonged use of the computer has a tendency to bring on migraine headaches and eye strain, especially at night time. I think sitting for long periods of time can cause neck and shoulder pain. There's also something called "Internet Addiction Disorder", which obviously affects mental well-being.

So, yes, it's fair to say that people have fallen ill from over use.
