I would say a simple, fairly plain dress is best. Maybe red or black if she wants to be a little bit sexy;) Make sure it is comfortable to dance in! There is nothing worse than a group of girls having to stay sitting down at the tables the whole time because if they try to dance in their dresses, something will tear or pop out! How is that fun?!

oh not fair i am having my prom next month but last years prom was off the hook!! I mean they play all kinds of music country,hip-hop, rock, and love songs so make sure she dresses comfortably but its always fun trying to be the star of the show. Just have her try dresses on and some shoes. As long as she can move around in them and be able to breath its good try to make the color flattering thats whats in. But try to get a few accessories and no purse! to baggy!!
make sure she can move in the dress. for hair, get it done by a stylist unless u r REALLY good with hair. tell her to wear some small, simple earrings that match the dress. also don't wear those big fake nails unless she wants to stsab her date. make sure she can walk in her shoes, especially if they're high heels.
