what could be the cause of a metallic taste in my mouth?
Question:
Answers:
A metallic taste in the mouth is a common complaint and can be due to a variety of causes - from medication you may be taking to dental problems. In the absence of other symptoms, it is unlikely that a metallic taste in your mouth indicates serious disease. But if you haven’t had a thorough general checkup recently, I would suggest seeing your doctor to rule out any undiagnosed health problems

It could be blood from brushing your teeth to hard or cutting your gum on something. Also, if you have a filling or cap on or in any of your teeth, there could be something wrong with one of them. If it continute, talk to your dentist.
ARE YOU TAKING ANTIBIOTICS?
Maybe it could be a filling you got in your teeth.
Are you taking any antibiotics? I took a prescription a few months ago for bronchitis and one of the side effects was a nasty metallic taste in my mouth.
When you have a metal taste in your mouth, it is usually the cause of blood. If your mouth is bleeding, you may be developing serious dental problems! First thing I would do is go see a dentist. Second, I would try to find some type of product to help you get it under control. I can recommend one called Breath Away. Its not available in stores, so it has to be bought online through a preferred customer shopping account. If you would be interested in how you can get this and other products that are better for your home, email me with your contact information and we will get ahold of you!

I think the prime suspect is a metal (eg mercury) filling in a tooth that has chipped or broken off and come out
If you have a broken jaw held together by metal plates that could be another likely villain of the piece.
it could be blood from your gums or teeth or it could also be acid. I know this woman who was experiencing a burbing sensation almost like acid reflux and it would give her a metal taste in her mouth. You should go to the doctor just to be safe and get it checked out.
If it accompanied by yellowish or thick white mucus from your nose, it is probably a sinus infection. When I get that taste, sure enough 2 days later I have a killer sinus infection.
Are you dating SuperMan? They don't call him the Man of Steel for nothin', babe.
it may happen when you have two or more metals in your mouth, for ex. amalgam filling together with some prosthetics that contains metal, it is the so-called oral galvanism(Iam not quite sure of the English spelling for it). two metals+saliva it is like eletrolysis in your mouth, and the taste is given by the metallic ions. Sometimes, you may feel the sensation of electricity in your mouth, also, especially when you eat using metallic forks or knives. metallic taste can also ge from acute or chronic intoxication with metals, because of food, work,or pollution.
Alot actaully, Bad oral hygiene, a cap on a tooth gets worn, lead poisoning.etc.
