Answers:
I HIGHLY DOUBT IT! McDonald's spends over $2 billion a year broadcasting their glossy image to the world. They feed more than 46 million people a day - more than the entire population of Spain. Some people may look down upon it, but it would take alot for there to be any signifigant changes. McDonald's repersents 43% of the TOTAL U.S. Fastfood market. 40% of American meals are eaten outside the home. Each day, 1 in 4 Americans visits a fast food restaurant McDonald's operates more than 30,000 restaurants in more then 100 countries on 6 continents. Before most children can speak they can recognize McDonalds.

*French fries are the most eaten vegetable in America
*You would have to walk for seven hours straight to burn off a Super Sized Coke, fry and Big Mac
*In the U.S., we eat more than 1,000,000 animals an hour
*Only seven items on McDonald's entire menu contain no sugar
*Willard Scott was the first Ronald McDonald - he was fired for being TOO FAT
*McDonald's distributes more toys per year than Toys-R-Us

It isn't already?

Well it should be. But I believe it will never be gone for good because too many people enjoy the taste. Like alchohol it is too much in our culture to stop.

As much as Americans love beef, fat, and fries--i seriously doubt it.

i don't think so. you can eat that stuff in moderation and not die from it. where 1/3 of smokers die from smoking and it is addictive. i don't see the comparison.

No, this is America. We cant live without Mcdonalds. ^^

It already is - expecially if you're already fat

yes, in the future people will be horrified by what we ate, what we breathed, the things were were exposed to, just like we feel about doctors putting leeches on folks.

it could. if you are intrested there is a documentary called SUPPER SIZE ME it is avalible at blockbuster it is funny gross and entertaining

If the Sin Police have their way, yes. Hope you look forward to the day that every food you eat is perfectly healthy for you and it all tastes like s**t.

he he yeah I think so that's why they are trying to add healthier foods to their menu es.

Not until someone dies from "secondhand lard."

Why would it be limited to McDonald's and Wendy's?

Of course, McDonald's has the extra stigma generated thru the terribly BOGUS "documentary" Supersize Me, where the most unscientific experiment ever created is run by the husband of a vegan restaurant owner to fool stupid people into thinking something bad about a single corporation/industry that is in competition with theirs.

But eating improper proportions of fat in your diet would be the same as eating improper amounts of sugar or anything else. The difference between fat and smoking is that most people require fat to be completely healthy, but in controlled amounts that are proper for a person's size.

As far as whether it would be looked down at McDonald's, I'd say not really. It would be like going into a bar to look down on the drinkers, or going into a pool to look down on swimmers. The adults who are eating inside McDonalds are fully aware of what they are eating, and have no inclination to look down on each other. Vegans who look down on people who eat fat would probably not be eating at Wendy's so while they may look down on the practice, that's as far as it will go. The vegans will look down on the omnivores, who in turn will look down on the emaciated vegans with no breasts.

In general, it is hard to say what is really looked down upon by society as a whole, because most people only see the world through a window the size of a tv screen and see truth.com telling them that smoking is bad, or a role model like Oprah telling people that Wendy's is bad, or a Wendy's commercial showing their salad selection or a McDonald's commercial showing the adult happy meal of health food that comes with an exercise dvd. Young folk are taught to look down on things in school, but most get a little more accepting of the views of others after leaving school once the pressure to 'fit in' is lifted.

We've always been a culture of hypocrites.. that's why alcohol is legal and marijuana, a far less dangerous substance, is not. Smoking is severely frowned upon, but we still drive cars with internal combustion engines that produce far more pollution and are, overall, far more damaging to this world and it's inhabitants.

So I think not. The thing is, businesses that sell the fat are great for the economy, and the damage is done only to the person eating it. not to those in the vicinity. We don't really care about each other, we only care about how what each other does affects ourselves.

The health nazis will not stop at fast food if you people don't lay off of smokers.
