How to get rid of stretch marks?

Question:
I am an African-American

Answers:
I know this isn't the answer you are hoping for, but there is absolutely NO way to get rid of strech marks, once the skin has been streched beyond its normal limit, it will not shrink back. Have hope that they will fade over time and become less noticable. Getting a tan can help mask their appearance, but they will still be there. Moisturizers such as cocoa butter or oils applied to the skin do nothing. Take comfort in the fact that you are not alone in having strech marks, in fact 98% of all females have them, it is a part of growing up as most get them during puberty when the body is growing at a faster rate than the skin can keep up with, and during pregnancy. Accept them, learn to love them, then forget about them, because they are more noticable to you than to others.

Melaleuca Oil is the best!

cocoa butter, or really good cream that specializies in that

losing weight will not get rid of the stretch marks unfortunately. I've heard that cocoa butter helps the skin stay flexible and helps it heal.

What about aloe vera gel or vitamin E? I don't know much about those for stretch marks, but they help skin heal also. :-)

When it comes to stretch marks, skin color really does not matter. Every woman will have a battle with stretch marks. I have them on my legs and will soon have them on my stomach since I am 22 weeks pregnant. I use Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula. It is a massage lotion for stretch marks. Anthing with Vitamin E is good. And it helps maintain your skins collagen and elastin. It also comes in a cream. And Tummy Butter if the stretch marks are located on your belly. Good Luck
