I don´t want to label her yet, I don´t even want to label her to begin with. but I wish I know she is norml as every kid, if not I would like to know so that I can help her suceed in life and be a better parent. Please if you can help me finding out how can I learn if she has ADD OR ADHD, I would appreciate it so much.

To be honest, the full signs that are required diagnosing criteria for ADD/ADHD in children aren't really detectable until AT LEAST age 3.

Too often parents in our society today mistake what are normal developmental mile stones (Such as testing boundaries, strong desire to assert independence) as being something else because these mile stones are to much of a growing pain for parents.

However, there has been significant evidence gathered from several studies that suggest a direct link between the amount of TV & direct-stimulation toddlers & children receive & ADD. Even though it hasn't been 100% confirmed, I really do recommend limiting the amount of TV you let your toddler watch. What the studies suggest is that because part of the root cause of ADD is the brain's lack of being able to process information & need to direct feed info, TV is just that- direct feed info. What I mean by that is when kids watch TV, their brains are directly feed information & the brain's need to process & sort out/figure out info is bypassed. For example, (& I know that this is a bad one, lol, it's all I could think of) it's like instead of gaining your energy from chewing & digesting your food, you're given it directly, through a shot in a IV. Make sense?

If you're wanting some tips on how to help curb some of her rowdiness, you should try to set up & instill some sort of routine & clear set boundaries w/her. Basically, develope some solid structure for her. Try talking to a pediatrician or child development specialist for some ideas & to get an assessment of your situation to better know what would work best for you.

Best of luck to you!

schedule an appointment with her pediatrician.

Have you had any other toddlers? I was a freak as a kid. My parents really had to use a leash on me. I dont blame them. It was for my own good. Eventually I grew out of it. Good luck.

add and adhd are the two most over diagnosed disorders in children. kids will be kids. i've never met a single kid who wasn't full of energy and ran around all the time. you and i were like that too at one point. obviously you may want to speak with a doctor about it, but drugs like ritalin and concerta are basically cocaine with a PG rating. try to avoid drugging your child unless it's absolutely necessary

She is 2, that is what they do.

TO TELL YOU THE TRUTH SHE SOUNDS COMPLETELY NORMAL AND HEALTHY TO ME; HOWEVER IF SHE IS HYPER-ACTIVE, TRY FEEDING HER FISH AND FRESH FOODS (FRUIT AND VEGETABLES)INSTEAD OF PRE-PACKED FOODS OR PRE-COOKED FOODS.

FRESH FLAXSEED OIL ON HER FOOD OR GIVEN BY THE TEA-SPOONFUL COULD BE HELPFUL AND HEALTHY.

PRESERVATIVES ARE LINKED TO CHILDREN MISBEHAVING AND PLAYING UP UNCONTROLLABLY.

TRY A HERBAL BATH (RADOX)TO RELAX YOUR CHILD.

TRY USING REVERSE TALK LIKE; YOU DON'T HAVE TO GO TO SLEEP OR I WANT YOU TO STAY AWAKE OR NO-ONE IS ALLOWED TO SLEEP IN THIS HOUSE. GET HER TO LAY IN BED WHILE READING A NICE BOOK OR TELLING HER A STORY. IF SHE FEELS RELAXED AND NOT PRESSURED INTO GOING TO SLEEP SHE IS MORE LIKELY GOING TO RELAX AND SLEEP.

TRY IT..TRY KEEPING YOUR EYES OPEN AND STARING THEY GET TIRED QUICKLY.

You wait for her to get older and show signs of a serious problem. Let your child be a child first. When they enter the educational system, most teachers will push for treatment anyway regardless of truth. So, just let your child be a child and wait to treat/medicate until it is really needed.

Work in a preschool where normal yet rambuncious children are being medicated for no goddamned good reason.

She sounds normal to me. They call them the Terrible Twos for a reason. Honestly, no psychologist or physician will diagnose a child with ADHD at that age because it is so difficult to distinguish what behavior is attributed to ADHD or what behavior is developmentally appropriate.

This too young to determine a Dx of ADHD. She is too early on in her development stages. Most hyperactive toddlers is completely natural, if you have any questions you might want to explain to your pediatrician and ask for a consult from a "Developmental neurologist." The DN can dx if your child is suffering from any developmental abnormalities. GOOD LUCK.
