What's the best way to loose 10 pounds by April?

Question:
I'm starting to run and exercise and and I'm trying to eat better (salads, etc.) Any other tips?

Answers:
I'm currently working toward that exact same goal. Here is what I am doing:

I have created an account on calorie-count.com. I keep a record of everything I eat or drink so I can accurately decrease my calorie intake. I shoot for around 1500 calories per day, which is considered a healthy caloric intake for weight loss. If I know I'll be eating out one night, I try really hard to eat even fewer calories for a couple of days. I also work out 4-5 times per week. I run at least 30 minutes, sometimes an hour, and lift weights twice a week.

I haven't lost much weight yet, only 5 pounds, and I've been at it over a month. However, I have noticed that my stomach is getting smaller and I am getting stronger and getting muscle tone. Even if you don't lose weight, you still may drop a size or two by toning up and replacing fat with muscle.

I see that you are already exercising, but the salad diet can be deceiving. Dressings and some toppings, like cheeses, make salads more fattening and caloric than healthy. Some of my favorite diet foods include oatmeal, fat-free yogurt, baby carrots, Lays light potato chips, diet sodas, and lean cuisine meals. Whenever I get hungry I eat something low-cal and it keeps me satisfied all day. Diet sodas fill you up and they contain no calories. Eating lots of yogurt and low-fat dairy products help you lose weight, too (three servings a day). And that website really helps you see where you are consuming your calories. You can even search for my account and see what I've been eating (my screen name is vanillaeclare).

If you do what I do you will lose 1 pound per week, which is considered a healthy weight loss rate. Hope this helps and good luck to you!

It's true!! Eating 6 small meals a day and drinking 8 glasses of water and exercising (walking) will help you lose weight. Eat more protein/fiber to stay "full" longer. Fudge sickles are good for that "sweet tooth". Eat at least 3 oz. protein with 3 veggies. Midday/midafternoon snacks - apple, string cheese, yogurt.

Simply put you have to excercise. It's all about how much you eat and how much you excercise. If you eat small nutrient filled meals several titmes a day and excercise alot, that is the best way to lost weight. Remember, it takes a calorie definciency of thee thousand five hhundred calories to lose a pound!

Women need a minumum of 100 grams of protein a day. There is alot of ways to do this. The purpose of this is to slow down your insilin production which in turn will slow down sugar cravings. Also the protein will help you stay full longer and and protein is also low calorie. Im not saying to stuff yourself with protein. You just need to try to make an effort to get more in. It is the combanation of good nutrition and protien that will get you the best results.
