HAPPY PILLS :)

Find the cause. If it is chemical, then medication. If it is just emotional, you need to change your thinking (this is easier with help from a counselor than on your own).

We are not doctors. See your doctor and follow what the doctor says to do.

get rid of whatever is depressing you

pills, therapy, changes in habits, good family relations, if you can, but, above all, i would say, creativity. get into making something with your hands. Put your heart and mind into a work of art!

Exercise, the more strenuous the better. It's impossible to be depressed when you're high on endorphins.

Most people suffer from some form of temporary depression if something terrible happens like a family member dies. If it's something that seems to come and go, studies have shown that getting out for a walk in the sunshine helps! (It's a free form of phototherapy.)
Because it's winter, people often develop SAD (seasonal affective disorder) and it's natural. Try to get out and see the sun and much as you can and excercise and eat right. If this is something that has been going on for a while, see a doctor and they will help!

I was depressed all my life until I found Zoloft and Wellbutrin. I tried all the holistic remedies because I really didn't want to be on medication. It's well worth it though - I haven't been depressed for five years now..

A combination of psychotherapy and prescription psychopharmaceuticals known as SSRI's (Selective Serotonin re-Uptake Inhibitors) such as Prozac, Zoloft, Paxil, Celexa, Luvoc etc.

I used to have depression very bad. I tried all sorts of things, prozac, Zoloft, just too many to remember, and all of them made me feel like i was drunk, they made me dizzy, nauseus, and very tired. Then my doctor told me about this radical new drug called Lexapro. I was desperate and tried it, it's perfect. There are no side affects whatsoever, no drowsiness, dizzyness, nausea, etc. I took it for a year, and now im off it and have no more problems with depression. It is usualy a non-drowsy (i say usualy becuase everybody's different but about 95% non drowsy) medicine that balances the chemicals in your brain, that control anxiety, anger, sadness, etc.

Just go talk to your doctor and tell him about your problems, and mention lexapro. see what he says. Good luck.

Having gone thru depression myself I can sympathize with you. My website can give you more info.
