Answers:
It means that you didn't get rid of it, again. I had the same problem several years ago, and took sufur medication a number of times. The last time I took sulfer, I ended up in the ER with anaphalactic shock. A couple months later, I had the UTI back again. I mentioned this to an italian woman, and she gave me a recipe to get rid of it. And it did. I swear it. This is the recipe.
Buy one bunch of fresh parsley, rinse it and boil it in 1 quart of water, much like you would spinach. Eat the parsley, and drink the water as a tea. (I salted and buttered the parlsey). I haven't had a UTI in years. Good luck and I hope it works for you, too.

I just had a UTI and it was awful.
It means that you needed to be on antibiotics longer--you are not over the infection. It has come back.

UTI is recurrent in nature. you'll feel ok for some time then will feel pain again if you do something bad for your health (drink beer, too much salty food, not enough fluid etc. the effect is immediate and instant. it will hurt almost immediately

i suggest that you have your urine cultured. doctors will determine which bacteria (in particular) is causing the problem then there will be approriate medicine for it. some anti biotics seem to be resistant with some bacteria, that is why we take medicines and nothing happens

avoid beer, salty foods, take lots of fluids as soon as you feel the pain starting..

If it is a UTI, you need to get a really strong broad spectrum antibiotic such as Cipro. The Doctor needs to be running a CBC and you need to tell him/her if you are sexually active.

If you are married or sexually active, both partners need to be checked since you could be just passing it back and forth.

Once you are through with the round of antibiotics, you need to eat some yogurt or get some probiotics from a health food store. This will perhaps help stave off a yeast infection.

Since the condition is chronic, I would get an appointment with a urologist right away. In the meantime, drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. This will flush out your kidneys and help your body work more efficiently. Do more than this though. GO TO A UROLIGIST.

You might want to watch the type of sexual activity you are having some bad habits like anal sex then back to vagina sex, that can cause UTI very easily. Did you have sex the night you drinked the Heineken?? if its not that then maybe you never got rid of it from before.

so i get utis all the time..the doc told me that certain things can trigger them. alcohol is one of the things. citric like in tomatoes or fruit. spicy things can trigger it. i try to stay away from the things that cause them, but if i really have to have one of the things i make sure i drink a lot of water..i mean a whole lot of water with it..
