What can I do if I think my wife has a mental defect? I think she may need psychological help, what can I do?

I would sit down with her and talk about the problem. Women do tend to be emotional so be prepared to cheer her up. Once you are through talking with her I suggest ya'll look through a phone book and find a good phychologist. There may be nothing wrong with her. See if she is diagnosed with some mental illness and take it from there. I wish ya'll both luck!

Here in MA. you can go to your local court house and file what is known here as a section 12. It is a court order issued where they will commit your wife so that she can be evaluated to determine if she is in fact mentally unstable. If cause is found as a result of this examination she will be admitted to an appropriate hospital.
First of all, do you know what kind of defect she has? Is she still sane and capable of comprehending what's going on, or is she suffering from a severe issue (like alzehimers)? If she's elderly, take her to a doctor specializeing in jeryactric nurology. If she still knows whats going on, this may be eaiser said then done as many people who have mental disabilities will remain in complete denial. I would recomend taking her to psychitrist.

Use the mental heath link that was posted above let her know what the problem is and let her help herself it is best to let the one with the problem overcome it and if you get in on it their is a chance, and a good chance that you could make it worse.

I've told her countless times not to talk about our relationship in public, because no one will understand. What does she do? I've had psychological "help" and yes they can make things worse.
The mind is a powerful thing and if it wants to it can and will overcome.
um, I think she believes herself to be pregnant with a demon child.
You yourself can speak to a counselor first, discuss with the counselor on how you can talk to your wife to see the counselor.
