DO "Whitening" toothpastes really make teeth whiter? Is there any brand that actually does?

they just say it will "whiten" your teeth so u will buy there products .they are all phonies out there just buy colgate and remember:brush,floss and use mouthwash and brush your teeth after every meal/snack

I think they help with lightening a shade or so, but to go whiter, you need something like colgate or rembrandt whitening strips or whitening kits. Rembrand is a pretty good whitening brand.
