What to do about WHAT? Sinuses are a part of your body. So whats the problem?

Too little information. If you have been diagnosed like this by a doctor and it is not just your consideration, then follow his recommendations.
If you don't then you will have terrible headache.
The only thing that you can do before visiting him is to use a "normal saline" 0.9% solution, on sale in the drugstore. This is not to drink,it is for your nose. The pharmacist will explain you how to use.It is effective, does not harm and it is cheap.
It will relieve the symptoms till you will visit the specialist.

I have chronic sinusitus. I have been told to use sinus rinses daily. I also have to take my allergy medicines and asthma medicines to keep the amount of secreations down. I use a steroid spray in my nose to keep it open since I had sinus surgery a few years ago. Hot liquids help keep the nose open too.

I have had sinus problems for years - I even had an operation to open up my sinuses and was on a steroid nasal spray. Nothing helped. Then I read that taking an iodine supplement makes a difference. After years of problems, this is the only thing that helped. It's hard to find iodine in foods because most of the US soil is depleted in iodine, therefore, there's none in fruits and vegetables. And the amount they supplement iodized salt with is very small compared to what people in Japan have in their daily diet (about 100 times our daily RDA).

They also have almost no lung cancer, even though they smoke much more than we do.

Sinusitis is a common ailment, and manifests itself by nasal blockade, pain in the maxillary and frontal regions of the face.

A common practice, which I have also used personally for my family, and in my practice is to use Steam inhalations before going to bed. The inhalations liquefy the "pus" in the sinuses, which is the cause of sinusitis and the patient is relieved. Mind it this is not a cure, though. The actual cure lies in removing the cause.

Menthol crytals or Vicks balm (which contains menthol) can be added to the inhalation. This adds to the liquefication of pus effect in the sinuses.

I use hot sauce and lemon juice in chicken soup, I think anything hot and tangy will loosen stuff up, if it doesn't help, the doc told me to take a contac c or similar to dry things up overnight. This is suppose to give your body a chance to heal. It's always worked for me. Good luck.
