Should I get a haircut? I have long hair, and I want to become a paralegal. I'm a dude.?

I love having my hair long, but I am willing to change it. I play guitar, and I love music.especially old heavy metal. But, I want to look my best for my career. What should I do? I used to often wear my hair in a ponytail, but I am tired of that. I don't wanna do that anymore. My hair is about four inches past my shoulders in length. I could get it cut, but the problem is, I don't really know how to style it, when it's short. I also don't really know of any dudes who have a short hair style that I fancy. What would you do?

Cut it--I love long hair on guys, but long hair on guys is different now. (Like Jon Bon Jovi and Dave Navarro--they still look hot!!) Remember how upsetting it was when Metallica got its makeover? Well, NOW we know it was the right thing to do. They were stuck in the late 80's! A good haircut will not only bring you into the present-day, but it symbolizes (as we women know!!) a momentous change coming in your life. Go to a good salon. They'll teach you how to style it when they get done cutting. Leave a little length there for the female lawyers to salivate over--do something like the dude on Lost. Josh Holloway. Look him up. I think long hair is out and looks messy if you want to be professional you should cut it. Look at some of the sports stars you like do any of them have hair you like. I would get it short on the sides and a little longer on the top.

A paralegal is a job that you want to look professional for.
You're going to have a hard time getting clients if you look
like a metal head. Get your hair cut, but first look through magazines or something to find a cut that is professional looking but also cool. You can have short hair and still be metal if you have the right cut.

Long hair is soo sexy, keep it!

Short, clean hair looks far more professional, and will help you be taken more seriously.
