Why do winters drag on and summers fly by?

It is all according to how you perceive the season. Some people love the winter and think that the winter flies by and the summer drags along. I guess it is all about what is your favorite season.

Because winter is so pretty and nice and cool, and summer is so scorching hot and terrible ^^;
But really, if summer is your preference, it's because during the winter you are just wanting for it to end and counting each excrutiating moment. During the summer you are out enjoying yourself and not paying attention to the time.

It's a mental thing. It sounds like you have more fun in warmer weather. If you spend your time in the winter waiting for spring, it is going to seem to last forever. A watched pot never boils. Time flys when you're having fun.

it's b/c we love summer so much that we dont notice it fly by but b/c we dont do as much our time gets boreder in winter so it makesit seem longer. dont that suck i think it sucks.

I think it's because you're kind of stuck inside. When you do go out, it's so much trouble to lug around all your heavy clothes.

I hate going to the mall and having to wear my coat inside where it's warm, or carry it around. I usually leave it in the car and make a run for the door.

Because you LOVE summer and don't care for winter.maybe try finding something you can do in the winter that you love.skiing or snowboarding, ice skating.taking photos of winter scenes.I like reading books or watching movies when it's nasty outside..then again you could move somewhere warm.FL, CA, HI..

Things that fly by are things that are very nice and enjoyable.

As they say time flies when your having fun.
The same goes for the opposite.
Time drags on when it's not a fun time.

No need to hate the weather. Its not a thing of fair or not.

I think summer drags and winter flies by! You can always put on enough to keep toasty warm. But say you live in Vegas, 118 degrees, you cant take off enough to keep cool!
