Should resturants ban smoking?

yes i have asthma and so does my wife we have left resturants and we have to be moved because the smoke is not staying in the smoking section. Forget about the long run of cancer we both could die today from an asthma attack from the smoke. I think it should be banned in bars restuarnts and everywhere peroid but that is another board

Here in Florida you can't smoke in any public buildings except a few bars. Iused to smoke but don't anymore.I am glad they don't allow smoking!

Yes, if people want to smoke they shouldn't do it in a place where people eat, whether there in the non-smoking area or not. In Georgia they banned smoking in all public places, I was so happy.

It hasn't been completely banned, but the rules are tough. If you want to have a smoking section, it has to be completely sealed off from the non-smoking section by a door.

Public meeting places of any kind, including pubs and nightclubs, should be smoke-free by law. Unless they can provide a separate glassed in area for smoking. This area would have to be at negative presure so that when the door opened air could only travel in.

Definately Yes!! Here in California, most restaurants are banned. Even schools are banned. At my Community College, if people want to smoke they have to smoke in the parking lot. That's the rules, but do people REALLY follow the rules? Heck no!! and that upsets people like myself because I CAN'T stand the smell of cigarette, second hand smoke isn't good for you either and it's disgusting!! I got really sick when I was down in South Lake Tahoe. I was hardly able to hold the food down. I constantly threw up due to the environment of Casino's and being nauseas. Yuck!! I also had red eyes due to the smoke and had itchy eyes. It was horrible!! I usually don't have irritated red eyes, but at the time I did. Those of the people who smoke are SO disgusting!! Why would you harm yourselves? I live in an Apt building and sometimes in the Summer time, some of my neighbors would chill outside their balcony's having a smoke. Eventually the smoke rises up to the third floor and I totally cannot stand that smell!!
We have now a law that one can not smoke at pulic places in Pakistan,but all people does not stop smoking yet. And also you should also pray for your health from God.

Why do the smokers have the right to smoke when it is harming others as well as themselves? Not to mention small children who cannot get up and leave when the smoke is killing them. Why is it that smokers have the right to smoke and all the non-smokers do not have the right to be in a smoke free environment? If they want to smoke and kill themselves go right ahead but not where people that choose not to smoke inhabit. Try smoking in your own homes.
As a former smoker I say yes,even though I was a heavy smoker,I never smoked in a restaurant because I knew my smoke would bother the persons around me,it always amazed me that someone would always light up a stinky cigar or pipe with no regard to the persons next to them,I am also amazed that a mother will be over protective with her baby against any illness and hold her baby while a cigarette hangs from her mouth,now as a non smoker my distaste for cigarette smell is such that I will leave the premises if someone is smoking.
I do not smoke but i think any resturant that does not make more than25% of its money from drinks should ban smoking

No Way !! Smokers should have rights to . Just seperate smokers and non-smokers. Afterall people are allowed to overeat and get fat and thats not healthy .
