I am LOVING the mineral makeup I got at Sephora. It takes a little while to getuse to using, but it's so worth it. It's better for your skin, doesn't clog pores, doesn't have that heavy makeup feel, no shinyness later in the day and it has sunscreen! It's awesome!

i love cover girl and i hate wet'n'wild . i do like st Ives , and Avon but it is too much of a hassle to order it .
I love Bare Essentuals. It's by far the best, lightest makeup i've tried. The finish it's beutiful 4 every skintone. I also like Benefit products.
Try Chanel or Nars. They have really good products. I hated Loreal because it smelled funny. Also if you're on a budget try MAC or Revlon or Stila

I love Aveda. I don't wear much makeup, but when I do, that's what I choose. I love the company's commitment to the environment and animals, plus, their products are perfect in every way.
As far as other types. I'm allergic to most brands anyway. Makes me wonder what they put in them.

The worst you can buy is MaxFactor. It is lumpy and dry! The best you can buy is CoverGirl!It's creamy smooth and has all the colors you can imagine!

Maybelline great lash mascara- best one ever!! but for my face i use Clinique products, only because i have sensitive skin that's prone to breakouts.. Clinique is pretty good plus is not as expensive as other brands. My friend uses Almay and swears it doesn't clog her pores. I suggest you try out different products because we all have different skins and reactions, what may be good for me does not necesarily mean it will work for you! Good luck, btw, take advantage of the free makeovers that macys do sometimes- Its a good way to try out few different products- Just remember that they usually expect u to buy something after a make-over so just get a lipstick or eyeshodow, nothing too expensive.
Clinique and Estee Lauder seems to work for me since I have sensitive skin.
Maybelline, the reason I use it's cuz they're the non-pricey brand of make-up that has shades for me.
I don't have a lot of money, so most of my choices are limited by that.

I liked Estee Lauder when I tried it, like a lot of other brands, but the above are worth my limited money IMO.
Max Factor, except a few nice products, sucks.

I love MAC. It has the best colors and matches for my skin. It is very hard to find GOOD makeup for Black women and they had the best choices out of all that I have seen and tried. (Even out of makeups that are especially made for "us") As a teen I bought what I could afford, mostly the mabelline, covergirl etc and it is good for the price. (and it has gotten a lot better in quality and in shades.) but I'm stuck on MAC now. The price is a lot higher but the quality is EXCELLENT
MAC definetly..all the stars use it too and they use it on tv shoes and movies
