13 is too young. for most places you have to be at least 16 with the consent of both parents. if you do it yourself you should be kicked in the head. any kind of infection could do a lot of damage.

You should do a search on bosy piercing and look at the different stuff about it first, if you want to still after that then go for it its your belly. Yes I feel that 13 is a little young to have your belly button pierced, but I guess that you could want something more shocking done, so it's not that bad. Being a mother of a 7 yr old daughter I would have to say that you should talk it over with mom. If my daughter would come to me at 13 wanting this done I think I would say yes, it has alot to do with who she is and her maurity level. Since I don't know you on that basis I cannont answer your question sorry, but please go to mom and ask her and I know you rolled your eyes at that but she does want what is best for you. As far as you doing it yourself, I say that is a big NO first of all it hurts something major and second of all you gotta watch for infection.
