Why do abortion advocates feel the need to develop new terms for killing unborn children?

I lost my only grandchild by abortion. That was 12 years ago and I still cry sometimes when I see toddlers with their grandmother. Abortion is murder and hopefully will soon be against the law.

This is a related issue, and not, perhaps, a direct answer to your question. But I was wondering whether you mourn the loss of every embryo or fetus that is spontaneously aborted (miscarried)? A high percentage of miscarriages go completely unnoticed by the woman. If you feel so strongly about the idea of "abortion-as-killing," maybe you need to devote your time and emotional attention to the millions of babies dying in the womb or, worse from your point-of-view, are healthy but expelled because of chemical or physical problems in the woman's body.
If you try to characterize the opposition's arguments in stark and ridiculously oversimplified terms, you should be willing to examine your own position with the same rigor.
I agree it's not the babies fault! at the same time I think in some circumstances I would understand maybe not agree but understand such as The mothers life could be risked with pregnancy, Rape, or the baby has something wrong with it to the point it wouldn't be unable to survive when born
but I do not think abortion is or should be used as a form of birth control .. shouldn't the baby have a choice?

There are other choices, adoption is at the very top, if you take care of yourself during your pregnancy there are so many people who are unable to have their own child and

While I believe in CHOICE. it is not the choice I would make. But I certainly would not judge someone who made that CHOICE! I often wonder what would happen with all the babies whose mother was forced to give birth.
How many unwanted children that are already born {those in foster care or an institution} are those who are PRO-LIFE bringing into their homes? Usually ZERO!!
So for me I would rather a woman have a CHOICE than to bring another baby into the world who would not have a Family! And please don't say adoption is the answer. because we all know that most people want healthy white newborns.
This is not an issue that is black and white. There are so many shades of gray it makes heads spin. There was a time when parents could kill their children or beat them nearly to death for being disobedient or having sex before marriage. In the bible women were stoned and slavery was allowed. We cannot pick and choose which things we want to believe. The world is changing and so the interpretations of religion and morality are changing too. I cannot believe that abortion is a method of birth control. I do believe that there are cases where I understand why women choose it. i dont think there are many women who choose it without really thinking very hard about what they are doing. As far as adoption there are so many children already out there who already need homes. Many of those children dont get them especially minority and special needs children. As the mother to a special needs child I know what it is to have "problems" with their child. If I knew that he would be blind deaf and in horrible pain his whole life I would have probably opted for the abortion. However he has motor issues he can over come so here he is. In cases of rape molestation especially in underage children and where the health of the mother or baby are an issue I believe that God will help the woman find the best decision in their hearts. Its not a choice I think I could ever make but I understand why women do. So I do think it is a choice. Because the mother has to make it. Nobody else. It is a choice she should make with God in her heart. I dont know what good it does to call someone who made a difficult choice a baby killer. Take the woman whose fetus had no brain.why carry it to term? The baby is dead and the birth would have been traumatic. I think that pushing anger and bitterness at "pro-choice" people is simply going to make them stick to their guns more fiercely than before. God Bless!
