Do you think it is possible to lose 25 pounds in one month? Any ideas how to achieve it?

I am 22, 5 feet 6 inches tall and i currently weigh 135 pounds. My target weight is 110. That's what I used to weigh before I came to live in the USA. Now I have 1 month to lose the extra pounds, becuase I'm going back home for my graduation party and I don't want my friends to see me in bad shape. I'm desperate.Please, help!

Hi i lost 15 in 3 weeks by eating VERY small meals every 4 hours. mostly fresh fruits and vegetables but also protein foods as well.. it doesnt work to starve yourself becuase then your body will store the fat cells and burn the muscle becuase it goes into starvation (survival) mode but if you eat every 4 hours your body will burn the fat because it is never hungry. it worked wonders for me . good luck

You could try not eating any starches. That would work. Add that with exercise and you would be set.

It is probably possible, but really not advisable. If you were enormously overweight that would be one thing, but you aren't. 110 might be a reasonable goal, but to lose nearly 20% of your body weight in one month is relatively dangerous. Even if you did it, you might well find you were too weak, sick, or grouchy to attend the party heh

I think people tend to suggest plans more in line with 1 or 2 pounds a week. Plus you may well get a quick burst when you first change your eating/exercise habits. If you told me you were going to try to lose 10 pounds in the next month, that might seem reasonable. 25 is not a smart goal, in my opinion.

its not healthy to lose that fast. You will end up gaining it back or maybe even double.
You shouldn't lose more than 3 pds per week.
try this
drink lots of water
take lots of walks
stop drinking soda
eat lots of fruits & veggies

wow u r like teeny tiny. um juss eat healthier foods and exericse regularly. dnt be too desperate b/c theres too many bad outcomes. juss stay strong and stay dedicated

ur outta luck, the maximum u can gain in 1 month is 6 pounds =P, plus most of that pound will be water and food so basically it comes down to maybe 4 pounds per month =P. u can lose 1 - 2 pounds per week depending on how much calories u consume.

You would have to nearly starve yourself to lose that much as you don't really weigh that much now.. It would be unhealthy to lose weight so quickly

Try to do some crunches eat healthy and not fattennig food like chips, and cokes they give you belly, you dont need to exercise as much just a couple of sweats and about 2 hours a day

it's possible! but, can you handle the pain and strain of a seriuos work out regimeign? I'm talking all out running, weight trainning, and just plain seriuos cardio trainning!

Honestly, I don't think it is possible. But try cutting your calories and working out so you burn at least twice as many calories as you consume. And drink lots of water, cuz the first 5 pounds you lose is water and that's not good for your body if you are dehydrated.
And remember, it's what's on the inside and not the outside that matters. Your friends will think more about what you accomplished rather than how you look. And if all else fails, blame it on America's bad eating habits and how expensive healthy food is. :)

Hey, 135 is not so bad - curves are cool. 110 is far too thin get a grip, if you must then drop to 125.

Easiest way to get there is stick to chicken, turkey etc - avoid bread and pasta. go for fruit and veg and most of all - Exercise with it, otherwise you will lose muscle tone and be a thin shapeless wonder. i would recommend areobic exercise and light weights lots of reps.

Maybe possible, but definitely not recommended! Actually, at 5'6" 110 is awfully skinny. 125 would be a better weight to aim for and that is more do-able in a month. Cut out the junk food and eat vegetables, fruits, lean meats, and whole grains. Exercise.
