I had 3 c sections and a hysterectomy and I can't seem to loose my stomach. Do you think my muscles are gone?

Question:
What can I do to get rid of this gutt of mine. I have lost over 30 lbs in the past few months and it seems like my stomach is getting bigger. I workout and everything and nothing. HELP

Answers:
Hello,

It may well be that the "belly" that you are referring to is loose skin left over from your pregnancies. This skin has been stretched so much that it has lost its elasticity. (This happens to people who have lost a great deal of weight, too.) It would make sense that as the rest of your body tones up, this "belly" would seem more noticeable to you.

Other Answers:
You cant "loose" your stomach

You would die!

your muscles can't be gone!! your stomach is not getting bigger, its just that your skin is not as flexible as it once was, that is the reason why your stomach is still there. Its the skin from all the births, your skin is not elastic and its being stretched out by the babies. Just accept it, enjoy your life. worry about your children and not your weight!

no I not think so because if you did you will be just Rog

I am back to my pre baby weight, and wear a size or two bigger because of my belly. C section here too. I am told stomach crunches will help, but so far, they haven't

that is part of child bearing. but buy a sweat band it burns fat around the stomic. you can get them at any pharmacy and they are not that high in price?

Chances are, after all that you will never have the stomach that you had before. The only way you might come close is with plastic surgery. However, I wouldn't suggest that. What you have are scars of pride, formed from the wonderful creations you brought into this world. Why would you want to get rid of those memories?

Hi,

Sometimes the tummy gets so stretched out that all the sit-ups in the world won't help tighten it. When your tummy stretches, it loses elastisity. Most of the time, it does go back to some sort of shape or it tones up with excercise and proper diet, but if you have done sits ups, crunches and cardio and you eat healthy and your tummy is still big, your only alternative might be liposuction or abdominalplasty(tummy tuck). Liposuction is used for big tummies with bulges in them. A tummy tuck is done when the skin is very loose.

I have included two websites that I think you might want to look at.
