You should see a doctor. She may put you on birth control pills to help regulate it. I'm on them and get my period right on schedule.every 24 days. Never late, never early.
how old are you if you r in elementary and middle school the y probably will be irregular but if older see a doctor
If you are oung, had rapid weight change, recently started new meds, etc, it may not be that unusual. If there are no chnages that explain these chnages, or if this happens long term, visit a doctor. They may be able to give you birth control to better regulate your period or advice.
At thisstage it woud be considered normal but if you have strong concerns about it see a doctor . it will usually become more regular as time goes on
You say you have had your period for 5 or 6 months--it is normal to have heavy periods, light periods, not know when they will occur, within the first year of beginning menstruation. If you are concerned, talk to your doctor. Always talk to your doctor if you have something unusual, such as bleeding so heavy you soak a pad in an hour, clotting, unusual discharge, pain, or bleeding between periods. You probably were not done sloughing off all of the lining this time and it just started back up. Don't be afraid to talk to your doctor or a nurse because they are there to help and usually it isn't as bad as we make it seem in our own minds.
This used to happen to me all the time. it could be from a wieght change or stress. Also if your are sexually active your might be having a miscarriage or could be pregnant. When I had a Irregular period I couldnt stand it. My doctor put me on the pill and the I got my period normally.

I was like that too, but periods can last anywhere from 3-7 days, so you are lucky if yours ends in 3-4. Some of mine have lasted 9 days. I would have it for 2 days, it would stop for a day, then pick back up and finish off in 3 more days, so total like 6 days for me. And mine have gotten worse every year, every month, my cramps at least. Give it a couple more months to even out some, then if it still bothers you, go to a dr. Or you can wait till your older and get on the shot and not have a period at all, its very nice, I've been on it for 2 years.
I have an IUD and that seems to make my monthly a lot more regular. But getting that will depend on age. Doctors like to give IUDs to women who are married and/or have had atleast one child.
I think it's normal, if not I should be wondering as well. That has happened to me about twice as well, but that was a while ago, and I'm fine now. gaah, wish I could help.
