Safest way to brush, wet or dry?

Question:
I had heard that when hair is wet it is weaker and can break easier. A Barber friend of mine says that you should brush it wet rather than dry due to split ends. Which is right?

Answers:
Either way just start at the end and very carefully work up.I have very fine hair and when I started to be extremely carefull with how I brush it (wet or dry), it started to get longer, now its down to my bra strap! this is the longest its ever been. I also use conditioner and don't completely rinse it out.

Other Answers:
wet defiantley!

Make sure the tangles are out before you brush it.

Wet

Hair should always be brushed when dry, never when wet, when it can easily be stretched or damaged. If you have long hair that tends to tangle easily, brushing is best done before washing and shampooing. To remove tangles and knots, start by using s wide-toothed comb, then move on to a brush, starting at the tips of the hair and working your way back towards the roots.

wet!

Brush when dry.hair is 3 times weaker when it is wet. To avoid breakage and split ends spray on a leave in conditioner when you get out of the shower. Then detangle with a wide tooth comb.

When my hair is wet I use a brush that has widely spaced stiff bristles, like a comb. If you use a conditioner after you shampoo, you won't have tangles which means you won't be breaking you hair when you comb it.

wet

dry

You blow dry it strait and then style it

i know , i tooo have heard that brushing wet hair isnt safe!! but apply conditioner after u wash ur hair. after which u you can brush your hair safely without worrying about hair loss. I was told this by a trichologist so u can rely on me abt this piece of info!

NO ! YOUR HAIR IS MORE FRAGILE WHEN WET. THAT'S WHY THEY SAY BE GENTLE OR USE A CONDITIONING COMB. IT BETTER TO COME HAIR WHEN IT IS DRY LESS DAMAGE WHEN WET
