When you research the problem of bleeding gums, you will quickly realize that EVERYONE has a toothpaste solution to this problem.

Other than seeing your dentist, which should be your first step, exactly what can you do on your own to help with bleeding gums?

The first line of defense is proper dental hygiene:

* Brush your teeth after every meal.
* If any bleeding is noticed while brushing, this means you need to brush and floss more often or more thoroughly and that you need your teeth professionally cleaned.
* Floss at least once/day using proper flossing methods. By not flossing you allow the bacteria to build up to dangerous levels.
* Decrease the quantity and frequency of your consumption of sugar. Sugar helps plaque grow.
* Visit your dentist twice a year.
* Mouth rinse containing chlorhexidine, an anti-microbial agent, which removes excess bacteria.
* use a high quality electric tooth bruth such Sonicareicon, which uses sound waves to remove plaque, or the Braun Oral-B OxyJet Oral Irrigator icon to massage the gums.

Other Answers:
Floss regularly and eat vegetables. That should toughen them up.

There are mouth washes that your dentist can prescribe for you. You should ask him about them.

Invest in an electric toothbrush, brush and floss after every meal, use a toothpaste and mouthwash that reduces gingivitis and plaque.

your gums bleed because you have gingivitis. the only reaction that your gums can give you to show you that you need to take care of them better is to get puffy, red and bleed.
yes, scaling and a polish at the dentist is the best start, but you must maintain at home. you need to floss a minimum of 3-4 times per week and brush at least once/day.
after about 2weeks of consistant brushing and flossing your gums will not bleed

Anytime that I brush my teeth, I use baking soda and salt. This strengthens the teeth very well. Of course, some dentists are unscrupulous and won't tell you about some curatives like this. All in all, get recommendations from people you trust as to what dentist you should see. Bleeding gums are a serious matter. You are too important to end up with no teeth. Put God in it and read Psalm 35 to (Plead My Cause). God will give you what you really need. You must only respect Him and ask for His help. Also, while you are at it, read Psalm 4 for (Protection and Safety) and you will be safe from unnatural occurrences. Peace and God Bless.

You need to floss EVERYDAY. Morning noon, and night, also after everytime you eat.. I hope this works : )

well my mom is a dentist and she told me that that is because you don't brush enough andd have a gum disease you should massage the gums with a tooth brush and rinses and there is a special kind of toothh paste to buy that is fairly cheap and works look around target to find it as a last resort go to the dentist the women dentists tend to be nicer.i am seriouss about that.Good Luck!oh yeah u must brush minimally 4 times a day to cure it it will take a month or 2 but it will be worth it. it can turn real ugly and painful if u don't take care of it floss to.BUT MASSAGE THE GUMS THAT WORKS WELL because with mybraces my gums puff a little my mom says to massage the gums. a good tooth brush is a sonicare or the new oral b but i don't kno if that is out yet but i have one and it has a masssage mode i like it it is cool and has a timer and clean and polish mode and soft and hard it roxs. GOOD LUCK!!get a dental cleaning maybe and there are cheap dental places for people with low income of go to a dental university they are cheap and usually good!!

You need to find out what kind of problems you have. If your gums are bleeding, but you have no bone loss; this is called gingivitis. This means that your gums are staying swollen, sore, and bleeding due to lack of proper oral hygiene. This condition is reversible by brushing and flossing every day. If you follow proper home care instructions this should go away in about ten days. When you say that your oral condition is not curable I would guess that you have what is called periodontal disease. This is when the gum tissue starts to pull away from the root of the tooth. This creates a pocket which allows food and bacteria to get trapped. When this food and bacteria turn into acid it starts to eat away at the bone that holds your teeth in your mouth. It also can cause tooth decay. This type of problem can't be cured, but with proper dental procedures such as scaling and root planing, or possibly even surgery; the dentist may be able to keep this disease from progressing further. But you have to do your part too by maintaining immaculate dental hygiene. This means that you have to work twice as hard since you have perio disease. If I were you I would find out for sure what type of gum problems you are having. There is a difference, as I explained, between gingivitis and periodontal disease. No matter what you have you must make sure that you are brushing after every meal, and flossing EVERY day. Three or four times a week will not cut it, you have to do it every day. If you don't remove the plaque from all surfaces of your teeth, including in-between, then the bacteria and food combined create acid which is destructive to all aspects of your oral cavity.

it is fucken called gingervitis

You need to continue to see your dentist on a regular basis and practice good oral hygiene at home (brush 2x day and floss)
