When can you say a person is mentally ill? We all are "crazy" (in a way).. Where is that border u can't cross?

Question:

Answers:
this website has some good information in an easy to read style about what is and isn't defined as mental illness.
Sadly such things as depression, eating disorders etc are all considered to be mental illnesses and that is why there is such fear and ignorance in much of today's society surrounding them, people fear what they don't understand.
I agree with the previous posters that if the person is a risk to themselves or to others, then it becomes of paramount importance that they receive adequate care and if necessary be hospitalised

Other Answers:
A person is considered mentally ill when they cannot function properly because of the illness or they become a threat to themselves or others.

the border is when it prevents you from functioning as a member of society, usually where it causes you to harm others or yourself

When they become delirious and start putting themselves or others in harms way
