Has anybody used Duragesic patches for chronic pain?

Question: I was just prescribed them the other day and was interested to see if anybody had experience using them.

Answers:
I thought they took those off the market. . . Unless your in Palitative care or Hospic care, I think that you should not be using them. Doctors are usually correct, but I'd get a second opinion from another doctor.

They worked great for my dad.but he had to do extra care when he showered with them.

I found that the patch gave me a rash. The company has a customer service dept and they have something they will send to you that helps minimize the rash.

I found that it took about a day to start working. It does give much more even amount of pain medication and it helps avoid the highs and lows that some by mouth medicines give you.
