colon cancer?

Question:

Answers:
Actually, it is recommended that people start having a yearly colonoscopy (? is that what it is called? inspection of colon, after an emptying out, with a camera on a tube that inserted via the rectum) beginning at the age of 40. Doctors are now actually seeing younger people with colon cancer, tho rare, it does occur to people in their twenties. Katie Couric (NBC's TODAY show) has championed colon cancer awareness and underwent a c. procedure on TODAY to familiarize and desensitize viewers to having the procedure. Her husband succumbed to colon cancer in his 40's. March is colon cancer awareness month (in Canada, at least).I am currently working on an article on the occurrence of colon cancer in young people and will fill in w/ more info soon..
