yawning is because there is a lack of Oxygen to the brain..not just because ur tired.when i get up in the morning i take a few deep breaths and hold them in for a few seconds and i feel much more lively
The general theory is that you yawn due to lack of oxygen (although this theory is also in question now) But its good to do some excercise in morning after getting up. It will make you feel energetic and peppy throughout the day.
It also depends on the quality of sleep. Even if you feel that u have had 8 hours of sleep so u have good rest its not so. In certain cases due to breathing disorder one can keep going in and out of deep sleep which will make you feel tired.
If it is a serious problem please consult ur doctor.
Ther is no evidence linking yawning and lack of oxigen in the brain. Believe me, lack of oxigen in the brain produces much more dramatic effects.
Perhaps, you suffer from sleeping obstructive apnea. Are u overweight?, Do u snor?
