Answers:
yeh well i dont know the answer but i can suggest a few things to help you sleep. Try not to have caffiene afetr about 5pm, becasue it keeps you awake.same goes with coke and chocolate. If you cant sleep, have a glass of warm milk, it has sedating properties in it. Also, avoid foods high in sugar before bed, because it will keep your metabolism active and you will have insomnia. Best of luck

your either suffering from some sort of sub-consious anxiety or you need a doobie

You don't have time because you are an honors student? Well, those stupid people in regular classes must be sleeping like bears in winter, huh?

I've had this problem several times before. I usually find that its more of a mental problem. the more you think that you can't sleep, the more you wont sleep. the best thing to do is to just clear your mind. let your mind wander and be at a relaxed state.

Once again "jako" shut up! You idiot! Gosh!
Anyway, I had insomnia for about a month and that sucked!
All you need to do is wake up super early one morning and get through your day at work or collage and then work out untill you can't any more! It works!
Also check out http://wethreekings0.tripod.com it helps to laugh if you can't sleep! Chow.

Jako's ***.

It could be that you're putting too much pressure on yourself to be an honor student and keep your grades up. You study too long, which keeps your brain active and restless.

The state of the world is another possibility. With war, rising gas prices, famine, etc. going on for so long, you could be struggling to come to grips with it.

The simplest cure I can think of is a "day off". Take a day to yourself doing what you think is fun. Shop, read a book, go on a walk. Anything that relaxes you is a good possibility.

Trouble sleeping?

If you try to go to sleep and you can't. This means you can not sleep.

If you want to know why? Then listen up.
Right these down when you're trying to sleep..

How do you feel physically?
How do you feel emotionally?
What was the last thing you ate?
When did you go to the restroom last?
What was the last thing you did?

What are you thinkging about right now?
What noises are you hearing?

Close your eyes and think about your breathing.. listen to it for a couple of minutes.. and actually think about taking deep breaths.

Then if this doesn't relax you and you still feel like you can't sleep..

Run around the block a few times..

Eat two cookies and drink a glass of milk..

And go see a doctor in the morning..

Are you sure you're not stressed about keeping up your label as a 'honours student'? Maybe the studying and work is a bit hectic, maybe that could cause you not to sleep. If its not that then what time do you go to bed and wake up? Too much sleep makes your body not want to sleep. Also try doing a few excercises in the evening, make time for it!! After that relax for a short while and then take a long hot bath and then try going to sleep. There are special bath oils etc that can help you go to sleep. I used to use 'Lavender Oil' to help me go to sleep at night. I just put a drop or two on my pillow and breathing in the fresh oil helped me to relax and go to sleep. If all this still doesnt work then you're going to have to see a doctor and speak to him about it. It could start affecting your studies. Sweet dreams!**

well , there are lots of reasons not to be able to sleep, Like before, -stress and to be busy minded can be reasons- changing seasons can be also a reason,,bad ventilation in the bed room, unhealthy diet also do that,, I will advise u to have a pill of Melatonin 1.5 mg before going to sleep till u have -later- a normal sleep.it is a hormone ,,so it is natural and in ur body already,, it is an immune system booster, helps to maintain a healthy heart , helps to prevent cancer, protects against environmental hazards (smokes..toxic material) and over all a very good SLEEP AID

couldn't tell you why either honey, sleeplessness can be from alot of things, but if you say you have no time to exercise more then maybe you aren't taking the time to relax before you go to bed. you need unwinding time before bed. sitting on the computer late at night isn't going to help. you need to do something less stimulating, like read a magazine, listen to the radio, watch t.v., take a warm bath with some lavender bubble bath/candles whatever (lavender is a calming scent) drink some warm tea with chamomile ( also calming) whatever you do, just make sure you give yourself at least 2 hours of downtime before bed to clear your mind of the days events and just relax. Also don't use your bed for anything but sleep, don't read in bed, etc. and if you can't fall asleep in 15-20 minutes get back up and do something to try and distract your mind again. good luck!!

chronic insomniac, and currently in manic stage of bipolar disorder

Try to eat some turkey before you go to sleep or drink a glass of hot milk with honey. A strong cup of coffee sometimes help. The best is not to try to sleep no matter what. Stay awake on night (in weekend) and the next night you'll sleep well. An other old recipe is a little bag with hop flowers under your pillow.

Try to do something to became tired. Or it could be a weather-sensitivity ?!
