how do i get rid of foot cramps?

Question:

Answers:
When I get foot cramps I extend my leg straight out in front of me (while sitting) and curl my toes back up toward me as far as I can. This alleviates the pain. If you hold it for about half a minute you should be fine.

This has to do with the way your nerve endings work, there is a spot on the bottom of your foot that can be massaged to remove the pain, by stretching your foot in this way it does it the same thing without a masseuse :-)

To prevent foot cramps be sure your getting calcium. I'v heard eating a dash of salt can make them go away faster. I'v tried it and it seemed to work but it could be in my head. One real way is to pull back on your foot until it passes. It won't hurt as bad.

potassium. bananas, cantalopes.etc..

Try a hot soak with some bath salts added. The contain magnesium and other minerals that will ease the muscles in your foot helping them to relax.

Eat a banana -- works quickly.

Eat foods with calcium or potassium. Now for a quick fix, buy a dowel rod from your local hardware store. Make sure it's an inch thick and like five inches long. Put it on the floor and roll your foot on it until your cramp goes away. Or have someone rub your foot.
