Answers:
Make shure it is medical grade tea tree oil. The best source is Melaleuca for tea tree oil they also have a anti-fungal cream with the oil in it.

I tried it for a bit, but after about a week, it was causing redness and a burning sensation, so I stopped. I tried cutting it with a milder oil (as recommended in several places) and it did not help at all.

Yes, it does, but it is imporant to use only a few drops in boiling hot water. You can add some liquid shower cream, as well.then let the water get bit more tepid, so that you can soak your feet in it. The tea tree oil will help to fight infections, and clean carefully.but will also hurt you if you use too much.

I also use a tiny bit in a bowl of nice, soap water to wash out hairbrushes and combs each week.

Yes, it does seem to hold up to scientific study but, like the first poster said, you can be allergic to it. To get good results, you need to use it at least twice a day for AT LEAST 2 months AND practice good foot hygiene like keeping your feet dry, etc.

By the way, I prefer to use it straight. I think putting it in a foot bath dilutes it too much.
