Is it alright to take B-12 injections while I am breastfeeding a 5 month old infant?

Question:
I would only be starting out with 1/2 cc

Answers:
it actually should not a be a problem. your body needs all of the vitimans it can get while breast feeding. prenatal vitimans are loaded with all sorts of b vitimans, so if it's ok for the baby in the womb (in this instance) i would say it's ok for the baby out of the womb.

Other Answers:
it should be, but definately check it with your ped.

Ask a doctor. Don't risk the health of your baby for anything.

I would ask the Dr.

1) The easy answer is 'Check with your doctor' but if you are asking here it's probably because you want another source of information.

2) The short answer is Yes it is perfectly safe. Vit B-12 does enter breast milk but there is no harm in it.
