the thing that never fails is to walk away or put some ear plugs in..

tell them that you sympathize with them but that it doesn't do any good to whine about it.

say to them "if i was god would you have that attitude?? ya thats right so shut your face!!" lol! if that doesn't shut them up then hit them in the face! lol!

Just ignore them. But if they keep persisting, give them a dose of their own medicine. That should shut them up.

Attitudes (bad and good ) are tied to emotional tone. The lower the emotional tone the more negative the attitude.
