if you jog 2 miles once a week what are the chances of losing weight ?

Question:
(If you go jogging once a week for about 2 miles, how much weight could I lose within a timespand of 2 months?

Answers:
Jogging 2 miles burns around 200 calories. You need a calorie deficit of 3500 calories to lose a pound. So in 2 months, that's about 8 times, so about 1600 calories. That's less than 1/2 pound. You'll need to do more if you want to lose weight.

Other Answers:
You would experience some energy burn but if your intake is still high then you won't loose anything. I walk about 10 miles a day between college and home and work at min, but i dont loose any weight.

Zero

nil.have u watched the biggest loser?? Yea dats wot u have to do to lose weight. Running 1s a week will do nothing.

Once a week is not enough to do much of anything. If you're going to excercise it needs to be at least three times a week, preferably more.

Physical effort should be constant (i.e. every other day, at least 30 minutes of continuous physical effort) if you wish to lose weight.

You could, however, try to lose weight by jogging once a week, but in that case you would need to also change your diet and eat more salads and fruit and less fat, sauces and cooked food. Otherwise you would risk to bring back all the calories you lose when jogging.

Good luck!

I would say try three times a week and then mix it up a little. You can't expect to loose weight by just doing a little exercise once a week. Then you need to change your intake too. If you eat healthy and exercise you have the best change of maximum weight loss.

1/8 lb .

It isn't enough to just jog 2 miles once a week, you need to change your diet etc also. If you jog 2 miles once a week but eat McDonalds every day for every meal then you will lose absolutely nothing, you will even gain weight. You need to mix proper diet with regular exercise, and by regular you should be doing it around 3 times a week, not just once.

Exercising is only part of the answer to losing weight. If you don't stick to a regular caloric intake with regards to eating habits, you won't be losing much weight, and you will not be able to keep it off. Doing one without the other, is futile.
