Obviously cases of accidents and deformity are exceptions. However, the idea of risking one's life to improve abs or remove wrinkles is absurd if not disgusting. Possibly movie stars and models are exceptions, but even there what they have inside is what moves people except people who are obsessed with some oppressive model of physical perfection.

We may have progressed past our approval of models who look like they are starving themselves or who live on speed and cocaine.

Have you seen Judy Davis in the Judy Garland movie? To see how little Judy Garland was brutally used by the studios is shocking. Of course this type of abuse couldn't still remain in our enlightened age even among ballerinas and girl gymnasts, now could it?

I totally agree with you. A person can be beautiful on many ways, but the one we should be looking after is the beauty that comes from within
