Do tall people die earlier on average, than average size people?

Question:

Answers:
There is a disease, though it's name has slipped from my memory right now, that is genetic specific to some that are TALLER then average.

I do know that the gene causes certain family members to be much taller, by close to a foot more then others. And the death can be sudden, as there is no true symptom to look for.

I had a friend who died of this, a healthy male, age 16, his height was 6'11" and still growing. One day, he came to school, and collapsed. He died a few minutes later. Total failure of all organs.

It turns out he had two uncles at least that died similarly, and after his death, the coroner did check for the "marker" and it was there.

I am sorry I can not help you any further then this. I do know that Dateline, or 48 Hours, or some other type show did a story on it a few years ago.

that's a good question maybe you should ask a physician that question or a pediatrician.

not necessarily. it's not like they have a gene defect or sumtin. just genes. so i think they die in the same average as regular sized ppl.

No that is just a wives tale short or small no matter

Never heart of that and haven't seen any study about being taller can cause you die sooner. So just go out and enjoy your life.

Not that I'm aware of, unless you're abnormally ectomorphic (tall and very thin body type). Then you're probably really skinny, and it's harder to live longer if you're too skinny because when you're old and your bones get fragile, you're like a twig.. an old twig. and those break easier than fresh new twigs.

@___@ But I really have no idea what I'm saying so I'll just go away now.

does height effect? i dont think so.. what if the average people have more diseases compared to the taller person.. still the taller peoplr will die first? i dint think so.. ts depend on ur health, how u handle ur self and also the faith..
