How can I get rid of head lice without spending any money?

I have bought every product there is to buy, I have washed eveything there is to wash, and I have kept my daughter away from people but I think that the medicine just isnt killing the eggs and I try to pick all of them out but something isnt working.

a good quality conditioner rinse hair first,then apply conditioner and leave for about 15 mins and wash off with shampoo,or believe it or not a qualty oil like coconut as this is the only way to drown them it fills their breathing tubes up,water is no good

I heard that you can apply mayonaise to the hair, leaving it in for a while then washing it out. But I don't know for sure if it works. I DO know that when my daughter was a young child, she caught lice and as a PREVENTIVE measure, I would put some VO5 hair dressing in her hair.

Oh heck, I don't remember where I got that from. My daughter is 19 now and I haven't had to concern myself with that since she was about 12.

My son had them bad when at junior school - the best thing I found was to smother his hair in thick conditioner and leave for at least half an hour then get a nit comb and comb through the hair (with conditioner still on it)..the lice came off easily and didn't return after a few treatments.Good luck!

Well,buy the proper medicine,heard thru the grapevine about a man whom tried to get rid of crabs with gasoline,seriously,he caught himself a fire.LOL..Not a good time for a smoke huh.Seriously,you don't want your kids exposed to a toxic chemical.Stick with the bar of soap from a drug store.

when my sister had them we used the chemical products and just picked them out but we also used the mayo thing suggested by those before me. My dad wanted to use gasoline because thats what his family used when he was young but my mom was not going to do that but if you're that desprete it would definitly work:/
