Qi gong V.S. Tai Chi?
Question:
Answers:
Qigong (Chi Kung) comes from the Chinese words "Qi" meaning "Energy" plus "Gong", meaning "work" or "practice". It is a term that describes a 5,000 year old Chinese Exercise system that focuses on cultivating and attracting "Qi." In Chinese medicine, free flow and abundance of "qi" in the human body is conducive to good health
Qi gong more importantly, is the ROOT of the martial arts.
There are two types of martial arts: External (hard)martial arts (kung fu, taekwondo, karate), that emphasize straight, linear movements (strikes and kicks) through muscular power. Internal (soft) martial arts (tai chi) that emphasize circular, gentle movements. Both type of martial arts incorporate qi gong training in their practice/routine and in their actual combat movements (esp. tai chi).
T'ai Chi Ch'üan or Taijiquan is an internal Chinese martial art practiced for the purpose of health and longevity. It is also a fighting system, in which the movements themselves mimic the actual fighting strikes, kicks, and poses. The soft, gentle movement are acquired and developed from the movements of qi gong, as this helps to facilitate the movement of qi throughout the body. Having this qi gong emphasis not only aids in the medicinal, therapeutic aspect of the person, but it also helps to enhance the fighting ability of the practitioner. The soft movements are in actuality deceptive, as the tai chi practitioner (master, grandmaster) can inflict serious damage through the movement/manipulation of their qi.
It is difficult to separate qi gong from tai chi, as tai chi developed from qi gong, and both arts share the same emphasis on the fundamental principles of the mind, breath, and posture. Qi gong exercises will consist of meditative poses or slow, repetitive movements of the same technique. Tai chi is a constant motion of movement, where the practitioner moves his arms, legs, and shifts his weight in a slow, graceful walk.
To this day, there are thousands of styles of qi gong and tai chi. In order to derive the maximum health benefits of either qi gong or tai chi, it is highly recommended that you learn the movements from a certified, competent, and qualified instructor (i.e. instructors teaching in U.S. acupuncture schools).

As far as I know it is the difference between religions.
Qigong is from Falun Gong and Tai Chi is from Buddhism (?).
I do not know any exercises. You can get free Falun Gong Adobe ebooks if you search for them. I do not remember where I got them, but they're around somewhere. They are both general names for exercises common in China.
I can email the books to you if you like.

The original meaning of Tai Chi is talking to a situation the no-thing-world begins to be devided into two parts :
Yin, which means Negative
Yang, which means Positive
It doesn't mean good or bad to either Yin or Yang. The cycle of Yin growing to decreasing, and Yang decreasing and growing, which can be addressed to the world's changing.
People just need to know how to find a good way to live under the balancing of Yin and Yang.
Tai Chi is also kind of kong-fu, comes from Yin/Yang philosophy of Chinese culture.
Practicing Tai Chi can improve your Qi. It is not only a martial art, it is also good for health.
Tai Chi is not a simple exercise, you need to find a teacher to do some exercise.
I know there is a simple Qi gong which names 'Shuai Shio Kong', which means 'swing hand exercise'. I can't find the English web-page of this exercise. I hope some one can translate the web site for us :
