What are some symptoms you personally get when suffering from stress?

I don't need what books say I want what symptoms you personally get.

stomach ache.

I carry stress in my belly and in my head. I get a really tight knot in my stomach and my head will begin to hurt eventually.

I feel mine in my shoulder and neck muscles. I used to get headaches but I don't seem to get those so much anymore.

Really severe stress (like being in a life-threatening situation) manifests as a shaky, light-headed feeling after the threat is passed.

<--my head catches on fire. lol.

I don't know about you but I get irritable. If it's alot of stress and the room is hot my blood pressure rises and my nose bleeds. Sometimes I get sleepy too. Not always, but sometimes I perspire more too.

Sweat, break out in hives sometimes, nerves are up in smoke! Irritable!

tense muscles (especially neck and lower back), headaches, unable to sleep, no appetite

When my husband was dying, my hair was falling out and my finger nails would crumble into a pile of dust.

I asked the doctors about it. Their response was, the stress had depleted all of my vitamins and minerals.

I nolonger speak english and all my replys are in my native tounge nomatter what language the question or comment is in.

My mind starts to shut down, I can't think or problem solve, I can't remember, I can't make decisions, I dwell on the most simplistic tasks, and I can't effectively communicate with others. All humor disappears and humor is very important to me. I will avoid other people so I don't have to talk to them. I have to just go somewhere until the crisis has passed, if possible. If that's not possible then I just have to take baby steps and live one minute to the next until I can leave or the crisis is over.

Now keep in mind it does take a great deal of stress for this to happen. stomach ache, headaches, and more rarely: vomiting and mood swings :)

When I am under stress, an intense desire for M & M cookies rapidly escalates. The hard part is to patiently wait in line to pay for said cookies until I can shred the bag open like a ravenous pack of wolves!

How's that for an answer?

Dizziness and Faintness.
Stomach Upset.
Bowel Urgency.
Vision Disturbances.
Weakness in the legs.
General Exhaustion.
A feeling of impending doom.
