Safe? Why you'd be a fool NOT to!

Speaking of which, I gotta go drop the Cosby kids off at the pool. They're in a rush

I don't think it would hurt you.

oh holy sh*t

No! Stool softeners are just another form of laxative. READ THE PACKAGE!! It says that over use of these types of products can lead to DEPENDENCE! Translation: too much stool softener or laxatives lead to "Depends"! A diet that contains plenty of WATER, and a good source of fiber would be much better for you.

If you're that constipated, you need to increase your fiber. Try eating more fruits & veggies while cutting back on breads, starches & meat. Also, drink a lot more water. Finally, simple exercise will help things move along. It doesn't have to be strenuous, so long as you get some exercise.
If you continue taking stool softeners, please at least add a daily multiple vitamin/mineral to your diet.

I read that once. Actually, I should say I misread that once. I spent a month drinking softened stool with every meal. I don't recommend that. :-(

Still a little bound up there buddy?
I suggest a large dose of Taco Bell(r), followed by LOTS of really cheap BEER.
Something like Hudepohl, or Pabst, maybe even some Fallstaff.
When you have had your fill, have a choclate bar, I have just the one right over. here.

lol.. I'm with Monitorhead on this one!

Only if you recently passed a kidney stone..

No, it wouldn't be very safe. This is because you would no longer be spending as much time in the bathroom. You would be in and out right away. This is also an unsafe idea because you might trip on something as you make the dash to the bathroom. Instead, just lock yourself in the bathroom, and don't go outside. That's a safe lifestyle right there.'cos every time you go outside, there's always the chance you could get hit by a bus, kidnapped, or hit by rotten tomatoes.
