someBody said to put Toothpaste On My Burn On My arm But I Need A Second opinion?

Question:

Answers:
I would think the toothpaste would hurt, because it would trap heat under it and cause more tissue damage. Try using something that's a little more volatile.

The best thing is Aloe vera plant

You need this stuff called Water Gell. it works the best.

Toothpaste, no.

Aloe Vera is the best thing for any burn, but you must also keep the burn clean and free of infection,so I would seek medical attention.

Put cold water or ice on until it stops hurting. If it's a first or second degree burn, dress it with first aid cream and a bandage. If it's a third degree burn or gets infected, see a doc.

soy sauce.

If there's a blister, then it's a second degree burn. Don't put anything on it. Keep it covered loosely with a clean bandage.

Whatever you do, don't take medical advice from your friend. He'll probably tell you to let some of your blood out when you have the flu.

Don't put toothpaste on it. The menthol in the toothpaste will make it hurt bad.

Big NO to the toothpaste. It is an abrasive and not much else. Put a bandage on it and protect the blister. It is protecting your burned skin from infection.

If it is really bad go the doctor.
Do not put anything but some antibiotic ointment on it and keep it covered.

I don't know what this means:

"My Mom Was Making Eggs and It Poped Me "

but I do know for certain that I never, ever want to be poped by eggs. Ever.

Toothpaste has no antiseptic properties use an antiseptic cream and keep it wrapped. Do not "pop" the blister.

Well that somebody is right because toothpaste cools it and reduces the pain but only for the momentit happend..But you can get any oinment from a Dermatologist..

I would recommend a triple antibiotic ointment. Since this is something that you need to remedy quick before it scars, just go to the store and pick up a bottle. But, I know of a product that has been known to heal cuts, burns, and such faster than triple antibiotic and not leave any scaring! Check out the website below for more information!

in the starting it hurts a bit, later its quite soothing

Do not put anything on the burn. Call your MD, someone is on call, and tell them what happened. They can call in something called SSD cream, also known as silvadene. It is very soothing and helps heal the burn. Have the number of your pharmacy ready.
