Question:

Answers:
Every session is different. Sometimes I receive messages or I just "know" things. I feel the energy going through me. I can feel the person's energy. Sometimes entities join in the healing.
If I am working on another Reiki person, all kinds of stuff happens--all of the above plus more.

For each the sensation may vary but for the most part it is very exhausting practice. It takes a lot of concentration and energy.

Traditional Usui Reiki Ryoho is the Traditional Japanese form of Reiki. It is what Usui taught and practiced.

A Reiki Practitioner in this style of Reiki Healing Therapy has the job of sensing energetic disturbances within the client - finding the root of dis-ease - and restoring this imbalance.

The basis for Usui Reiki healing is firmly rooted in meditation. As a Reiki 'Master' in Usui Reiki Ryoho, one must be able to quiet themselves - their mind - in order to sense energetic disturbances within the client. With that said, I enter a meditative state where my mind is very quiet - still. I place my hands on the client, and, its as if I reach down into the client with energy - scanning, feeling for energetic 'potholes' (some call it blackness or ugliness).

Once I find this area - or areas - I go and treat them specifically. I may also use one or more Traditional Usui Reiki Healing methods that restores / balances energy within the client.

When I am treating these areas, it feels to me like a pulse or beat or cycle. The strength of this beat will start to diminish over time, until it disappears or stops fading. At this point I either move on to the next area, or I use one or more Traditional Treatment methods as I mentioned above.

As for what I experience - peace. I come from a Reiki treatment mellow and very calm. I am not drained or tired. Just very much at peace - in a state of bliss.

I have heard other Reiki styles / Practitioners say that Reiki drains them. This is usually because the person is trying tooo hard to make something happen and is using their own energy instead of the Reiki potential. Also, this can be because what the practitioner was taught was some other energy technique combined with Reiki, in whole or in part, and they are not accessing Reiki directly. Often times Therapeutic Touch and Healing Touch Therapies are mixed with or taught as Reiki - when they are very different in application and theory.
