when an athlete has used steroids and abruptly stops what happens to his muscles?

Question:
do they shrink a little but not much, does he keep everything the same, does he lose everything, or is there something in between all of this and what exactly is it?

Answers:
HE LOSE EVERITHING THAT GAINED WITH THE STEROIDS AND KEEP THE MUSCLE HE WORKED FOR.

Other Answers:
if he keeps working out, he will probably retain alot of what he got, but for the most part it will loose definition and we will get alot more fat.

I'm pretty sure they atrophy (get smaller) or at least thats how it is if ur a bodybuilder and stop lifting.

I think with steroids it doesn't shrink that rapidly, but you can't maintain working out at the same rate so they gradually decrease. For creatine though, everything goes out right away like popping a balloon.

And don't use steroids please.

Actually, I really don't care about pros or college atheletes, just don't ruin my High School Career.

withdrawal effects of steroids are very bad.
his muscles will definitely suffer.
better he consult a physician.
