Why do Black people think all white people owned slaves ?

Question: Are blacks really that ignorant of History ? Do they realize that only wealthy people owned slaves ? Do they realize that White Men got rid of the system of Slavery ? That has been around since the beginning of civilization ?

MOST black people do NOT think that all white people owned slaves. There's a handful that do, but more commonly people feel that all white people should be held accountable for the handful of white people that did own slaves. It's just a form of racism, nothing more. Black people being racist against white people is no different than white people being racist against black people (except that some people try to use the latter to justify the former). It's not really a foreign concept.

I think it is time to drop the whole white and black issues and just deal with people on a one to one basis. That is not a free ticket to judge people, it is the way we all deal with each other any way.
