which is the best way to loose weight?

Question:

Answers:
Dieting and surgery is the quickest way. At the same time, the most risky and unhealthy way.

There is no best way but a correct way (there are many reasons you are too heavy or too fat) as you can find in thousands similar questions here in YA, 90% of the answers given to them can be summarised as:

Eat healthy, do exercise regularly and do not over-exert yourself, make small changes.

Other Answers:
eat less, and remember 'lose' loses one 'o'.

Dedication..persistance.. go to the moon and u'll weigh 1/6th of ur weight here on earth.

discipline and determination

eat a balanced diet and dont diet, set yourself goals and exercise, also dont eat for 3hrs before u go to bed good luck

Eat balanced meals, including breakfast that is healthy, reduce calorie intake and increase exercise. Losing slowly is more healthy and you will keep the weight off, than gaining it back.

Doctor has told me that a number of times.

You can walk for some 30 minutes daily - a brisk walk followed by some mild exercise. Avoid oily and junk food. Sip less soft drinks.

Notice how no one here has suggested a "magic bullet" diet. Thats because there is no such thing! Calorie deficit is the key to losing weight period. Consume less calories than you expend. This doesn't have to include vigorous exercise, but exercise always helps by both burning calories faster and curving appetite.

Eat less and move more!

losing weight is not very easy, especially for starters. but giving a little effort would assure you of a really safe and effective weight loss. a low-carb, low fat, high-fiber diet is the best diet. this is a sample menu, about 1200 calories the whole day. you will not spend a lot, and you will not feel hunger.

breakfast:
1 pc toast / sliced bread
1 pc banana or apple
1 glass of milk
tea or coffee with low cal sweetener (or sugar)

10 am snack:
1 banana or apple OR
10 pcs of berries OR
1 cup popcorn
1 glass lemonade or juice

lunch:
open sandwich (no bread on top) containing:
1 slice of smoked ham (about 60 grams)
tomatoes, lettuce, onion
1 glass juice/lemonade/tea

4pm snack:
3 pcs of oreo cookies OR
1 palmful peanuts OR
any medium sized fruit

dinner:
1 100-gram cut of lean meat (if chicken, no skin)
1 1/2 golfball size serving mashed potato or pasta
up to 2 cups of green veggies or steamed carrots and peas
dessert: any medium fruit OR
1 golfball size of low fat ice cream or sorbet
1 cup of coffee or tea

you can do variations of this sample plan. very low cost (not totally no cost ofcourse), and low maintenance. you will not feel any hunger at any time of the day. the best thing is, these foods are definitely available in your own house, probably also the things you eat daily. and you will not deprive yourself so binging and mood swings will be avoided.

throw in some exercise while you're at it: jogging, weightlifting for muscle development, pilates for flexibility (there are websites that show some basic pilates moves), powerwalking for stamina building. even regular day to day activities help - walking to the bus station, bicycling to the supermarket, mopping the floor, you can even do some jogging in-place while watching TV. remember that a well balanced diet and regular exercise is still the best. not only will you be kept trim, you will also stay healthy.

remember that there are no quick-fix diets and exercises. starving yourself and pushing yourself to extreme exhaustion would only lead to even more dangers, and a higher medical cost. the best way to achieve your goal and to get a healthier body is to incorporate a well balanced diet and enough exercise in your daily life.

Education! First, consult a doctor. Please try to avoid those "quick-loss-with-little-effort. diet plans and groups. Trust me! I've done them all and done more long-term damage then good. However, one plan I have found "intelligent" is www.bodyforlife.com and www.eatingforlife.com by Bill Phillips. This plan is FOR LIFE. Healthy eating of great foods and regular exercise. Plus, there is no "imbalance" in the foods; i.e. excluding a particular food group. If you're interested in reading the books, borrow them from a local library and then purchase them on www.half.com or www.ebay.com (the books are expensive, but from these sites, you get them for a fraction of the regular price) if you decide to live thin and healthy. But again, first consult your doctor!

WHAT to eat for losing weight

• Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, especially NC (negative calorie) food.

* Print these lists. They will be your . "Bible", from now on !
* Dill and parsely - include them in all your salads. Also ognion + garlic.
* Try eat mostly fresh vegs & fruits (whenever possible, of course)
* If you really want a book, then check this out: The Negative Calorie Diet Workbook & Cookbook - eBook (Win95/98 only). Read more about this e-book here.

• Eat fish, chicken, beef, pork. (preferences are in this order)

* If you are a vegetarian, then ignore this!
* Avoid fat meat

• Eat 2-3 slices of bread/day. Don't EVER exclude bread from your diet!

• Snacks between meals (if needed): apples, oranges, grepfruits and other NC fruits

* Don't cheat . NO cookies, chips, candies, brownies etc!
* EVEN if they have "low fat" indication. They might have low fat, yet they can have lots of CALORIES !

• About rice, potatoes, beans, [xxx]nuts, pastry, pasta. you know!

* Don't eat too much of those, at least during the first weeks of the diet. I'm not a low carb addict, but I've noticed weight gains if consuming those in large quantities, especially when associated with other foods.
* If you like them a lot, try and eat them like one meal. A nice delicious plate of spaghetti could be your lunch (never dinner!), followed by a nice big apple. These rich starch foods are not good for dinner!
* At dinner time, chose mainly large mixed veggies salads. with fish, lean meat or cheese (if you are not a vegetarian).

if u want to lose weight the best food to it are baked potatoes with nothing on it. no salt no nothing just plain. u can eat a 10000000000 baked potatoes till ur stuff and not gain a pound. i heard that from a weight loss tape. the best drink is water or gatorade. thats a start then when you work out do some taeboo. if u want a macine. run with dumbells on a treadmill. u could do the rocky workout. but thats a new story. u could use a butterfly macine i think it works the abs

1) It is not just the amount you eat, but what you eat. Lean meats and vegtables that snap are a good place to start. And by snap I mean fresh and not boiled or doused with better or whatever.

2) Exercise moderatly but for about an hour every other day. Spend half of that walking or running at a good enough pace for you to feel labored. The other half of the time use weights, or exercises such as push ups or situps to get a muscle "burn". A gym is also an option, but I don't know if you have the money for or want to spend the money on it.

3) Sleep well. To bed earlier and up earlier. Exercise in the morning when you wake up, not in the evening before bed. 7 hours of GOOD sleep is a must.

4) Occupy yourself with a hobby that keeps your attention for a long period of time. A hobby like this keeps your mind focused and gives less of a chance for snacking from boredom.

That is a good place to start. if you see good results, keep it up and modify to fit you. if it does not, see a doctor AND a trainer

Keep working out, drink water a lot, eat 5 to 6 meals a day but in small quantities, vegtables are important specially cucumber and lattice, fruits not be eaten after meals except by 2 to 3 hours, minimize the starch quantities in your meals lots of salad is important, your last meal must be before you sleep by 2 to 3 hours
the most important thing is you don't lose patient wait and have a strong will to be as what you want

you might have some more ideas from www.ivillage.com

good luck
